Establishing a Dependable Drainage System

CS Plumbing designed and installed a gravity-fed French drain system aimed at capturing and redirecting water before it could penetrate the home’s foundation.

The project incorporated several key elements:

A French drain system specifically engineered to collect both surface and subsurface water from neighbouring properties, channeling it through gravity to a concrete pit.
A 100mm PVC pipe extending from the pit to the curb, featuring precisely drilled holes for efficient water discharge.
Three new, larger-diameter Colorbond metal downpipes replacing the original smaller units, connected to new 100mm PVC piping that directs water to the curb.
A sturdy retaining wall system constructed along the boundary using concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, with auger holes excavated to form a solid barrier that prevents water from the adjacent yard.
Effective soil removal carried out on-site with a dumper to ensure proper site management.
